Abstract

The strong mutagen, [3-chloro-4-(dichloromethyl)-5-hydroxy-2(5H)-furanone] (MX) was found to occur in chlorinated drinking water in China. Some tap water samples from Jiangsu province, which contained MX of 3-60ng/L, were analyzed. Quantitation is based on gas chromatography-mass spectrometry, using peak area of selective ion monitoring of the methyl derivative of MX.

强诱变剂3-氯-4-(二氯甲基)-5-羟基-2(5H)-呋喃酮在中国的氯化饮用水中被发现。对江苏省的一些自来水样本进行了分析,这些样本中MX的含量为3至60纳克/升。定量分析基于气相色谱-质谱联用技术,采用MX甲基衍生物的选择性离子监测峰面积进行。
