Analysis of experience gained by the Russian hygienic science, actual hygienic materials, and authors' own data show that hygiene as science can be justly considered as a theoretical scientific branch engaged in fundamental problems of medical science. Moreover, etiology of professional and ecology-caused diseases is one of the most important aspects of theoretical basis of hygienic science.
对俄罗斯卫生科学所积累的经验、实际卫生材料以及作者自身数据的分析表明，卫生学作为一门科学，可以被恰当地视为一门从事医学基础问题研究的理论科学分支。此外，职业性疾病和生态源性疾病的病因学是卫生科学理论基础的最重要方面之一。
