[Study of rapid methods for determining the biochemical properties of microorganisms. I].

Some express methods were tested comparatively in determining the biochemical properties of certain microorganisms in order to recommend the most effective of them to be used in the laboratory. Described is a disk method with which the term of cultivation is shortened by one to 5 hours, and the results obtained are clear and well distinctive. The data obtained are almost comparable with the results achieved using the methods provided in the Bulgarian State Standard. It is suggested to adopt the method referred to in the laboratory practice.
