Results of observations of 191 patients with pathology of the knee joint meniscus are described. Rupture of the normally developed meniscus was characterized by the clinical picture of subacute insufficiency of the knee joint in 131 patients. The clinical syndrome of the discoid meniscus has features of chronic instability of the knee joint. The diagnostics is based on a comparison of clinical macro- and microsymptoms, arthropneumographic picture and findings of arthroscopy.
