Abstract
More and more antidepressants are being used to treat depression that do not meet DSM-IV criteria for major depression. Venlafaxine is one alternative among many pharmacologic agents. Studies suggest it provides as good a response as other antidepressants, is less cardiotoxic, and produces fewer anticholinergic and sedative side effects.

越来越多不符合《精神疾病诊断与统计手册第四版》（DSM-IV）中重度抑郁症标准的抑郁症患者正在使用抗抑郁药物进行治疗。文拉法辛是众多药物中的一种选择。研究表明，它与其他抗抑郁药物的疗效相当，心脏毒性较小，且抗胆碱能和镇静副作用较少。
