Abstract
In August 1995, the Charles Clifford Dental Hospital in Sheffield is to launch a new training programme for junior hospital dentists. It comprises a combined SHO post and Masters degree course over 2 years. This article outlines and explains how the Sheffield scheme has been designed to embrace recent developments in training and education in the NHS.
