Reproducibility of capillaroscopic data is studied by a computer-assisted interactive quantification method. Determination of capillary tortuosity and capillary density is a quantitative method with a variation coefficient below 7%, while determination of erythrocyte column diameter has to be considered as a semiquantitative method. Problems arising during interactive evaluation as in case of bundles of capillaries or massive capillary dilatation are discussed in the paper.
