Suturing is the preferred method for closing a simple wound. The procedure should be preceded by surgical debridement of the wound and carefully done level by level. A number of topographical characteristics should be known and kept in mind. The best technique, in the best possible environment, is a necessary condition, not always sufficient, to reduce the importance of sequelae.
