[Reoperation for advanced recurrent laryngeal cancer after surgery].

Thirty-four cases of advanced recurrent laryngeal cancers after operation were treated surgically with satisfactory results. Postoperative 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rates were 63%, 40% and 40% respectively. The surgical procedures and experiences were described. We believe that surgical extirpation should be considered the best method in the management of advanced recurrent laryngeal cancer in spite of operative difficulties and dangers.
