The paper reviews the results of registration reorganization in one of the Moscow gerontological psychiatric consultations. Two groups of psychic pathology were recognized: advanced psychoses and dementia (1168 patients), nonpsychotic diseases of the nonpsychotic level were registered in the group of "consultative follow-up". Hospitalization in this group made up 38 cases. The analysis showed that patients of advanced age require a special approach in follow-up, examination and hospitalization planning.
