Neurobehavioral problems in epilepsy.

This article reviews neurobehavioral problems associated with epilepsy, general psychopathology, interictal and postictal psychoses, and other specific psychiatric disorders observed in epilepsy are discussed, and interictal personality traits identified in some patients with epilepsy are reviewed. Interictal disorders of higher cortical functions as well as disruptions in quality of life are presented, and neurobehavioral effects of antiepileptic drugs are discussed.
