Epithelial thickness, mitotic activity and DNA synthesis in oral candidal leukoplakia (chronic hyperplastic candidosis) were studied. The results showed that the epithelium was thicker, the number of mitosis and DNA synthesis cells were more in candidal leukoplakia than in non-candidal leukoplakia. These findings indicate an active cell proliferation exists in candidal leukoplakia which may be a precancerous lesion.
对口腔念珠菌性白斑(慢性增生性念珠菌病)的上皮厚度、有丝分裂活性和DNA合成进行了研究。结果显示,念珠菌性白斑的上皮更厚,有丝分裂和DNA合成细胞的数量比非念珠菌性白斑更多。这些发现表明念珠菌性白斑中存在活跃的细胞增殖,这可能是一种癌前病变。
