Abstract

Nursing education is involved in a curriculum revolution that decries behaviorist theory. One model for the new educational approaches is political activism that involves faculty and students in experiences of caring client advocacy. Content, theory, and experiences in community-health nursing integrate community activism and sociopolitical concepts. Sample approaches that blend curriculum revolution and political activism concepts are included. Such approaches can easily be used as part of the lived experience of community-health nursing education.
