Visualization of the posterolateral elements of the lumbar vertebrae in the anteroposterior projection.

A radiographic view in the AP projection for visualization of the laminae and articular processes of the lumbar vertebrae is described. This view may be used for the acutely injured patient. In addition to augmenting standard views, the AP projection will assist, and may supplant the need for tomography in selected cases.
