Adenocarcinoma of the lung occurred three years after the diagnosis of pulmonary and cutaneous sarcoidosis. The combination of pulmonary sarcoidosis and carcinoma, which may present diagnostic difficulties is rarely reported. As with other fibrosing lung diseases, however, chronic fibrosing sarcoidosis may predispose to adenocarcinoma.
