[Endogenous and exogenous factors in tumor development and cell differentiation in gastrointestinal tumors].

In recent years, epidemiological and molecular studies revealed very important new insights into the development of tumors in the gastrointestinal tract. Above all, certain forms of nutrition and molecular genetic features and events are responsible for tumor occurrence. This article tries to give a short review of the most important recent findings in this field of research.
