Abstract

A variety of materials have been used in the fabrication of denture bases. The advantages and disadvantages of these materials are discussed. Special emphasis is placed on polymeric material. particularly poly (methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). The chemical basis for formation of PMMA is provided to facilitate understanding.
