Many nurse authors and editors are involved in the production of newsletter publications for their hospital, health-care organization, or association. It is a labor-intensive job that can be very rewarding; however, all publications have problems that arise--no articles, poorly written ones, need for extensive editing, copyright concerns, and the administrative details of typing, typesetting, selecting paper and ink, missed deadlines, typos, or publication of the wrong names or titles.
