Coarse plaqued calcifications which were up to now regarded as typical for sclerosing adenosis appear on the lateral films often as sickle- or linear shaped configurations. This pattern - described by the author as "tea-cup-phenomenon" corresponds to the microcyst filled with calcium milk. The sclerosing adenosis cannot be identified with this type of calcification.
