Abstract

The epidemiology of all occupational diseases was compared with occupational diseases of the voice organ in Poland according to age, sex and duration of employment. Then the incidence of occupational diseases of the voice organ in Poland was compared with the incidence in the Pozna++ń region. The author postulates that the causes of the present situation be identified and the principles of certification be improved and she also recommends close cooperation between laryngologists and phoniatrists.
