Keratoconjunctivitis infectiosa in calves--attempt at elimination by active immunization.

The attempt at elimination of keratoconjunctivitis infectiosa bovis (IBK) was undertaken on Wolin island by active immunization. The clinical and zootechnical estimation of effectiveness of immunization with vaccine prepared on the basis of local, fimbrial strains of Moraxella bovis has been done. The immunization of large group of animals was done. Aerogenic immunization proved to be the most effective.
