The plasma renin concentration (PRC3.3) measured biologically or radioimmunologically after acid treatment of plasma at pH 3.3, did not change significantly during storage of human plasma at -20 degrees C for 1 year. This is completely in contradiction with the increase in plasma renin activity reported by some authors.
