Abstract

OBJECTIVE

Fluorescein is widely used in ophthalmology. Side effects related to fluorescein occur frequently but are usually benign (nausea, vomiting, lipothymia). Severe side effects are rare. We report a case of anaphylactic shock due to local application of fluorescein.

CASE REPORT

A 70-year-old woman was treated for ocular conjunctivitis with local application of fluorescein. Cardiac arrest occurred due to anaphylactic shock. Resuscitation was successful.

DISCUSSION

The gravity of certain complications related to the use of fluorescein underline the importance of adequate resuscitation material and adapted treatment.

目的

荧光素在眼科中广泛应用。与荧光素相关的副作用频繁发生,但通常为良性(恶心、呕吐、昏厥)。严重副作用罕见。我们报告一例因局部应用荧光素导致过敏性休克的病例。

病例报告

一名70岁女性因眼部结膜炎接受局部应用荧光素治疗。因过敏性休克发生心脏骤停。复苏成功。

讨论

与使用荧光素相关的某些并发症的严重性凸显了充足复苏材料和适当治疗的重要性。
