Endovaginal ultrasound could be a useful fool for follow-up of patients taking hormone replacement therapy. In the presented study a group of 140 postmenopausal women has been evaluated and in 10 patients the sonography disclosed endometrial thickness of more than 12 mm. Biopsy in the study group revealed three cases of endometrial hyperplasia and all they were in the patients with uterine lining thicker than 12 mm. In patients taking hormone replacement therapy endometrial thickness of more than 12 mm should be regarded as indication for D&C.
经阴道超声可能是随访接受激素替代疗法患者的有用手段。在本研究中，对一组140名绝经后妇女进行了评估，超声检查发现10名患者的子宫内膜厚度超过12毫米。研究组的活检显示有3例子宫内膜增生，且均发生在子宫内膜厚度超过12毫米的患者中。对于接受激素替代疗法的患者，子宫内膜厚度超过12毫米应被视为刮宫的指征。
