Abstract
- 2-Mercaptoethanol increases the incorporation of 14C-leucine in a microsomal system of rat liver. 2. This effect is causes by a direct influence on protein synthesis. 3. The microsomes of older animals are more stimulated and therefore the age differences are reduced.
