Abstract
The impact of minimal invasive surgery on conventional surgery is diverse. The fields it involves include: (1) pathophysiology of surgical trauma; (2) instrumental technique; (3) medical-industrial interaction; (4) laparoscopic diagnostic procedures; (5) intraoperative endoscopy; (6) patients' comfort; (7) quality control; (8) changing hierarchy; (9) loss of surgical dogmas and (10) globalization.
