[Multistage surgical treatment for idiopathic infantile scoliosis using C-D instrumentation and TSRH--preliminary report].

Preliminary results of multistage surgical treatment for idiopathic infantile scoliosis with the use of C-D and TSRH instrumentation are presented. Material included 24 patients who had from 1 to 6 distractions of concave side of the curvature with an immediate mean correction of 50%. The age at the operation ranged from 5 to 13 years. There were 21 girls and 3 boys, thoracic curves were predominantly right sided and exceeded 100 degrees measured by Cobb method.
