The study of the lymphocyte subpopulations appears to be of diagnostic importance in immunodeficiencies and lymphatic disorders. In autoimmune diseases and cancer as well as in various other disease states changes of T and B lymphocytes are detectable, findings that can be of prognostic and therapeutic importance.
