Anaerobic bacteria were isolated from 17 of 40 normal appendices and appendicitis cases in Ankara. In both cases gram positive, nonsporulating, and gram negative organisms were isolated. Gram positive cocci were only isolated from appendicitis cases. The bacteria isolated from appendicitis are usually like the anaerobic bacteria of the colon flora. All anaerobic bacteria in appendix flora can cause appendicitis in suitable conditions.
在安卡拉的40例正常阑尾及阑尾炎病例中，有17例分离出厌氧菌。在这两种病例中，均分离出革兰氏阳性、无芽孢及革兰氏阴性菌。革兰氏阳性球菌仅从阑尾炎病例中分离出来。从阑尾炎中分离出的细菌通常类似于结肠菌群的厌氧菌。阑尾菌群中的所有厌氧菌在适宜条件下都可引发阑尾炎。
