[Pubertal decompensation in the clinical picture of schizoid psychopathy].

The author examined 30 patients in whom the psychic condition in adolescence was characterized by "metaphysical (philosophical) intoxication". This phenomenon was qualified as an adolescent variant of over-valued ideas. It was established as well that these traits develop in personalities of a schizoid character. The conditions as a whole was considered as pubertal decompensation in schizoid psychopathy. The report contains criteria for a differentiation of these conditons with slowly progressive forms of schizophrenic process.
