The effect of nutrition therapies on wound healing is discussed. The article assumes that, in addition to biologic therapies, psychosocial factors influence wound healing. Psychosocial factors include the patient's personality, ways of coping, and family and cultural make-up. Clinicians should consider the patient's psychosocial history when planning and implementing biologic therapies.
