The paper presents the results of analysis of the epizootic and epidemiological situation associated with Trichinella infection in Transcarpathia. Nine trichinosis outbreaks in 1984-1996, afflicting 132 individuals, were examined. There was an increase in the number of outbreaks and infected men. The bulk of infection is associated with the intake of wild animal meat. Wild boar meat heads the list of sources of infection.
