A F (ab)2 -like fragment of IgG isolated from the serum of partially hepatectomized rabbits was capable of enhanceing an immune response in rabbits xenogenous erythrocytes. This enhancing effect was revealed by an increase of both the number of antibody-forming cells in the spleen and the titres of 19S and 7S hemagglutinins.
