[Detection of soluble fibrin monomer complexes and of platelet factor 4 in the plasma of patients with diabetes mellitus].

In 70 patients with diabetes mellitus the concentration of soluble fibrin monomer complexes and the plasma level of platelet factor 4 in blood were investigated. A significant increase of both parameter in comparison with the normal values were seen. The results indicate intravascular micro thrombosis in diabetes mellitus; the thrombocytic factors as well as the plasmatic factors of the haemostasis are included.
