A case of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) preceding the features of cutaneous lupus is reported.
To suggest that ADEM and cutaneous lupus are pathophysiologically related.
Neurological complications of systemic lupus erythematosus are common. However, demyelinative central nervous system manifestations are rare, and restricted to neuromyelitis optica (NMO). NMO is thought to be a partial form of ADEM.
A clinical, neuroradiological and immunological study was performed in this case.
ADEM was diagnosed in a young black female. Three years later, she developed a cutaneous lupus without hypocomplementemia.
A relationship between ADEM and cutaneous lupus is suggested. The normal serum complement level in our patient might be a predisposing factor for the development of ADEM.
报告一例在皮肤狼疮特征出现之前发生急性播散性脑脊髓炎（ADEM）的病例。
提示ADEM与皮肤狼疮在病理生理上相关。
系统性红斑狼疮的神经并发症很常见。然而，脱髓鞘性中枢神经系统表现罕见，且仅限于视神经脊髓炎（NMO）。NMO被认为是ADEM的一种部分形式。
对该病例进行了临床、神经放射学和免疫学研究。
一名年轻黑人女性被诊断为ADEM。三年后，她出现了无补体血症的皮肤狼疮。
提示ADEM与皮肤狼疮之间存在关联。我们患者的血清补体水平正常可能是发生ADEM的一个易感因素。
