To succeed in today's competitive world, companies need to continually train their employees to do new jobs and to perform old jobs better. Unfortunately, most on-the-job education and training is wasted, since traditional methods do not get workers to retain what they have learned. This article describes a new method of education, integrative learning, that takes into account that each person has multiple kinds of intelligence and also has his or her own style of learning. By changing the learning environment and the way information is presented, processed, and used in the classroom, integrative learning produces substantially better results than traditional methods.
