The purpose of the study is to investigate the distribution of morphine in rats by immunohistochemistry (PAP). The results showed that the content of morphine in CNS was of little change, and the content of morphine in other tissue decresed with prolonged time. Morhine in intraperitioneal fatty tissue showed a great increase after death. The study demonstrated that postmorten distrabution of morphine in rats had significant changes at different time after death. It may provide a reason for better choices of postmortem tissue in detecting addicts of morphine after death.
