Abstract

Mechanical properties of Co-Cr-Ni ternary alloys (0approximately90%Co, 10approximately40% Cr, 0approximately60% Ni by weight) were investigated. It was found that some alloys containing chromium from 30% to 40% had high strength, hardness and elongation but alloys containing nickel from 0% to 20% had low elongation and 60% Co-40% Cr binary alloy was higher than 70% Co-30% Cr binary alloy in tensile strength, hardness and elongation.
