To study the chemical constituents in the root of Rheum wittrochii.
Chromatography and spectroscopic analysis were used to isolate and elucidate the chemical constituents in the plant.
Six compounds, namely chrysophanol, physcion, emodin, chrysophanol-8-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside, physcion-8-O-beta-D-glucopyranoside and beta-sitosterol, have been isolated from petroleum ether and ethyl acetate fractions.
All the above-cited compounds were isolated from the title plant for the first time, and anthraquinone compounds are some of the major constituents of R. wittrochii.

采用色谱法和光谱分析法对该植物中的化学成分进行分离和鉴定。
从石油醚和乙酸乙酯部位分离得到6个化合物,分别为大黄酚、大黄素甲醚、大黄素、大黄酚-8-O-β-D-葡萄糖苷、大黄素甲醚-8-O-β-D-葡萄糖苷和β-谷甾醇。
上述化合物均为首次从该植物中分离得到,蒽醌类化合物是藏边大黄的主要成分之一。
