The pathologic features of a nasal chondrosarcoma, a rare tumor of bovines, in a Simmental cow are described. Upon clinical examination, stertor, difficulty in breathing, poor body condition, and a nasal mass were found. Histopathologic examination revealed that the mass was composed mostly of numerous cartilaginous lobules surrounded by spindle-shaped cells, often showing mitotic figures, atypical chondrocytes, and lacunae containing 2 or more cells. On the basis of the histological features, the mass was diagnosed as a nasal chondrosarcoma.
本文描述了一头西门塔尔牛患鼻软骨肉瘤（一种牛的罕见肿瘤）的病理特征。临床检查发现有鼾症、呼吸困难、身体状况差以及鼻腔肿物。组织病理学检查显示，肿物主要由众多软骨小叶组成，周围有梭形细胞，常可见有丝分裂象、非典型软骨细胞以及含有两个或更多细胞的腔隙。根据组织学特征，该肿物被诊断为鼻软骨肉瘤。
