To investigate the relationship between tumor necrosis factor (TNF) A-308 gene polymorphism and aggressive periodontitis (AgP).
Anti-coagulated peripheral blood samples were obtained from 64 AgP patients, and 78 healthy controls (H). Genomic DNA was extracted from each sample. The TNF A-308 gene polymorphism was detected by standard polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) assay. Data were analyzed by SAS statistical software.
There was no significant difference in distribution of TNF A-308 genotype between AgP patients and healthy controls. But the ORs for genotype GA and allele A were 22.2 and 16.1 respectively in non-smoking male AgP patients.
The TNF A-308 genotype GA and allele A may be associated with AgP susceptibility in Chinese males.
探讨肿瘤坏死因子(TNF)A-308基因多态性与侵袭性牙周炎(AgP)之间的关系。
采集64例AgP患者及78例健康对照者(H)的抗凝外周血样本。从每个样本中提取基因组DNA。采用标准聚合酶链反应-限制性片段长度多态性(PCR-RFLP)分析法检测TNF A-308基因多态性。数据用SAS统计软件进行分析。
AgP患者与健康对照者之间TNF A-308基因型分布无显著差异。但在不吸烟男性AgP患者中,基因型GA和等位基因A的比值比分别为22.2和16.1。
TNF A-308基因型GA和等位基因A可能与中国男性AgP易感性相关。
