[Functions of the Rheumatism League Advisory Service in the care of patients with polyarthritis].

A social worker at the Swiss League against Rheumatism describes her role as a mediator between arthritic patients and doctors and between arthritics and employers. She describes some of the hazards involved in taking the step from complete financial independence to being at the full mercy of the social insurance scheme.
