Paclitaxel, one of the taxanes, has been used to treat malignant tumors such as breast cancer. It is known to cause cystic maculopathy as an unusual ocular side effect. Here, we describe the clinical features of a patient who suffered cystic maculopathy during paclitaxel therapy.
A 62-year-old woman complained of visual disturbances in both eyes after receiving paclitaxel treatment of six months for metastatic breast cancer. Because cystic maculopathy was discovered during observation, and the paclitaxel therapy was discontinued. After about six weeks of acetazolamide administration, the cystic maculopathy disappeared and visual acuity had recovered.
Paclitaxel treated patients should be followed carefully for ophthalmic complications, especially cystic maculopathy.
紫杉醇是紫杉烷类药物之一，已被用于治疗乳腺癌等恶性肿瘤。已知它会引起囊性黄斑病变这一罕见的眼部副作用。在此，我们描述一名在紫杉醇治疗期间发生囊性黄斑病变患者的临床特征。
一名62岁女性在接受转移性乳腺癌紫杉醇治疗六个月后出现双眼视力障碍。在观察期间发现囊性黄斑病变后，停用了紫杉醇治疗。给予乙酰唑胺治疗约六周后，囊性黄斑病变消失，视力恢复。
接受紫杉醇治疗的患者应密切随访眼部并发症，尤其是囊性黄斑病变。
