Abstract

Schisanhenol (Sal) did not diminish the antitumor activity of adriamycin in mice bearing P388 ascites tumor. Sal did not antagonize the suppressive effect of adriamycin on DNA synthesis and cell proliferation in an L1210 ascitic tumor cell culture. Furthermore, Sal at the concentration of 0.1, 0.25, or 1 mM accelerated adriamycin-dependent DNA damage in the presence of Fe3+ in vitro. It appears that Sal was able to protect against adriamycin induced heart mitochondrial toxicity, while it did not antagonize the antitumor activity of adriamycin.

摘要

五味子醇(Sal)并未降低阿霉素对携带P388腹水瘤小鼠的抗肿瘤活性。Sal未拮抗阿霉素对L1210腹水瘤细胞培养中DNA合成和细胞增殖的抑制作用。此外,在体外存在Fe3+的情况下,浓度为0.1、0.25或1 mM的Sal会加速阿霉素依赖性DNA损伤。似乎Sal能够预防阿霉素诱导的心脏线粒体毒性,而不会拮抗阿霉素的抗肿瘤活性。
