To study the chemical constituents from seeds of Paeonia sufruticosa.
Various chromatographic techniques were used to isolate and purify the constituents, their physico-chemical properties and spectral data were employed to elucidate their structures.
Thirteen compounds were isolated and identified as: paeoniflorin (1), oxypaeoniflorin (2), 6'-O-beta-D-glucopyranosylalbiflorin (3), 8-debenzoylpaeoniflorin (4), 8-debenzoylpaeonidanin (5), 1-O-beta-D-glucopyranosylpaeonisuf-frone (6), 1-O-beta-D-ethyl-mannopyranoside (7), sucrose (8), luteolin (9), apigenin (10), benzoic acid (11) and 1-0-beta-D-(4-hydroxybenzoyl) glucose (12).
compounds 2, 4-6 were isolated from this plant for the first time, compounds 7 and 12 were isolated from the family of Paeoniaceae for the first time.

分离鉴定出13个化合物,分别为芍药苷(1)、氧化芍药苷(2)、6'-O-β-D-吡喃葡萄糖基芍药内酯苷(3)、8-去苯甲酰基芍药苷(4)、8-去苯甲酰基芍药新苷(5)、1-O-β-D-吡喃葡萄糖基芍药酮(6)、1-O-β-D-乙基甘露糖苷(7)、蔗糖(8)、木犀草素(9)、芹菜素(10)、苯甲酸(11)和1-O-β-D-(4-羟基苯甲酰基)葡萄糖(12)。
化合物2、4 - 6为首次从该植物中分离得到,化合物7和12为首次从芍药科植物中分离得到。
