[Statistics for dentists. 2. Sampling].

Sampling methods and the consequences thereof in regard to the value of the conclusions drawn from the results are discussed. The term 'hypothesis' is clarified, followed by a description (of the importance) of Type I and II errors in statistical testing, which is based on P-values. In a general sense, the sample size is discussed.
