Over an 8 year period, 66 patients with adenocarcinoma of the cardia in advanced stages underwent total gastrectomy. The operative morbidity rate was 7.5% and the post-operative mortality rate (1 month) was 1.5%. The post-operative 1,3,4, and 5 year survival rates were 69%, 30.7%, 20% and 13.8% respectively. The quality of life after surgery was improved. Pathologic type, lymph node metastasis, incomplete resection and post-operative chemotherapy were the main factors influencing post-operative survival. Indications for total gastrectomy and the advantages of transthoracic total gastrectomy are discussed.
在8年期间，66例晚期贲门腺癌患者接受了全胃切除术。手术发病率为7.5%，术后1个月死亡率为1.5%。术后1年、3年、4年和5年生存率分别为69%、30.7%、20%和13.8%。术后生活质量得到改善。病理类型、淋巴结转移、切除不彻底和术后化疗是影响术后生存的主要因素。讨论了全胃切除术的适应证及经胸全胃切除术的优点。
