Forensic breath alcohol measurement remains a prominent tool for on-site detection of the alcohol-impaired drivers thoughout Europe, North America, and Australia (Gullberg, 2005). Despite significant advancements in the technology of detection devices, many challenges still remain, seen from the medical and legal aspects in particular.
