It is tremendously important to learn standard practice for residents especially of postgraduate year 1 and 2 grades. In teaching hospitals, residential training is usually "on the job" and management of patients is highly individualized. Thus, residents are always aware of how far their practice stands away from principles. To confirm principles of daily practice easily, JSLM2009 Guideline is an important tool in residential training. Attending physicians and supervisors should educate their residents about "clinical pearls" in addition to principles.
对于住院医师，尤其是第一年和第二年的研究生来说，学习标准操作极为重要。在教学医院，住院医师培训通常是“在职培训”，患者管理高度个体化。因此，住院医师始终清楚自己的操作与原则有多大差距。为了轻松确认日常操作的原则，《日本肝脏病学会2009指南》是住院医师培训中的一个重要工具。主治医师和带教老师除了讲解原则外，还应向住院医师传授“临床要点”。
