Sjogren's syndrome is a rare chronic recurrent disease which etiopathogenesis is still unknown. Salivary glands involvement in Sjogren's syndrome is often associated with viral infection. In order to prove this hypothesis we have conducted virological studies in four patients with Sjogren's syndrome. The studies showed no correlation of Epstein-Barr virus or CMV and Sjogren's syndrome development. Patients with Sjogren's syndrome may be Epstein-Barr virus carriers.
干燥综合征是一种病因仍不明的罕见慢性复发性疾病。干燥综合征中唾液腺受累常与病毒感染有关。为了证实这一假说，我们对4例干燥综合征患者进行了病毒学研究。研究表明，爱泼斯坦-巴尔病毒或巨细胞病毒与干燥综合征的发生无相关性。干燥综合征患者可能是爱泼斯坦-巴尔病毒携带者。
